RUM International Music Festival in Kristianstad is an annual festival aimed at creating links between young people and adults of all nationalities. The festival is organized by RUM (Regional Youth Musicians), which is Sweden’s largest Youth Culture in focus.
The festival has been held annually since 1992, usually in week 24 (June). The festival is open to all types of music groups: Song, Dance, Choir, Marching Bands, Concert Bands, Big Band, Jazz Groups, Rock Groups, String Ensembles, Symphony Orchestras, Folk Music & Folklore groups.
